About this place
After an evening in Asakusa, WiLL, a bar in Asakusa 6-chome, is the sort of place to stop for one last drink before heading home. Take a seat at the well-used wooden counter and the friendly master welcomes you; the unpretentious downtown atmosphere makes it easy to relax over a drink.
A popular accompaniment to drinks is the menu item Oil Sardines Mini. It is an easy order with a Kakubin highball: a rich, mayonnaise-forward bite that makes the glass go down smoothly. There is more than light bar food, too: the warm dishes include beef tongue stew, shrimp gratin and horse mackerel doria, making it possible to enjoy a more substantial plate here.
Alongside highballs, the drinks selection includes a range of cocktails, wine, beer and spirits. Asking the master for a recommendation to suit your mood that day can be part of the pleasure. WiLL is open from 7:32 pm until 1 am. It suits a solo drink on an unplanned evening as well as a final round of conversation with friends.
